Finally Launching… the Website & Instagram! Why Now?

Hey friends—welcome to the official online home of Yellow Finch Enterprises, LLC, also known as Social Media Mallory! 🎉 It feels surreal typing this out, but YES, I am just now launching my website and Instagram page. You read that right. Even though I officially started my business way back in August of 2022, I’m only now choosing to show up online “for real.”

Let me back up a bit and tell you the story.

In August of 2022, I was freshly postpartum with baby number five (yep, FIVE I have SIX now)—just five months out from giving birth and finding our large family in a season where we needed to get creative to keep up with the rising costs of… well, everything. Inflation was no joke. I had already been helping friends and family for years—since college (think 2006!)—with everything from making graphics and editing videos to brainstorming post ideas and helping their content get real traction online. It was just something I loved doing. It came naturally.

Then one day, a friend asked me if I could help with marketing for their business, and I said “yes.” Something clicked in that moment.

I realized this could actually be something more. Not just a favor, not just something I did in the margins of my day—but a real, legitimate business. So I dove in headfirst. I learned what I needed to start my own business, dotted my i’s and crossed my t’s… and Yellow Finch Enterprises, LLC was born.

Truthfully, I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. At 9 or 10 years old, I was running a bead animal business out of my bedroom window like a drive-thru. I’d trade, barter, and save up—eventually investing in Beanie Babies and reselling them to buy my first real dog. (His name was Max 🐾) But that’s a story for another blog post.

Back to the now.

I haven’t had a website or even a dedicated Instagram page for Yellow Finch Enterprises until this moment—because I didn’t need one to grow. I also didn’t want one until I knew I was truly ready to take this to the next level. And now? I am. 100%.

I’m launching now because I believe in making intentional, honest moves—not just fast ones. That’s also what I bring to my clients. I’ll never push you to do something that isn’t the right step for you and your business.
